Yes, he is an orange tabby american shorthair...at least I'm pretty sure because he was a stray.

depends all on personality. I had a calico cat who was sweet as pie, by comparison her ginger tabby brother was a complete and total....yeah.

I have noticed that out of the tortoiseshell cats I've had 3 of the 4 were skiddish and not very social, my latest, Emry is ALWAYS under feet, her sister is a calico and spends most of her time outside now.
