Are brown leg horns supposed to be really small? She is only 2 lbs and lays a decent size egg (52 g or more).she looks like a brown leghorn crossed with an easter eggers to me.
Her egg is a real light shade of brown. Hers is egg number 2 and 3 from top in this picture below. One wonder how she lays such a big egg. Especially #3. For reference, my top hen-a red star lays the egg#1 which is an extra large/borderline Jumbo and weights 68-72 gPretty color with her being blue, do agree she is some sort of mix. She does look similar to some of the hatchery easter eggers. Does she lay a brown/tan egg or what color?
