A friend of mine got this goose as a 2 month old gosling from a bird ranch back in November- she was told it was an African.
She had a stroke a year ago, she used to be very knowledgeable on these things, but now it’s hard to tell. She mentioned that she thought maybe it was a mix today, so tonight I went looking online-I do ducks & have just added a few chicks, but I’ve never done geese before, the only goose I know by sight are the Egyptian ( I saw one at a park and was fascinated) and the nene (bc i grew up in Hawaii that’s all we had)
Anyway, as far as I can tell this might be a Tolouse?
Any goose ppl here with thoughts?
We don’t even know if she’s a she or he, my friend was waiting for her to get a knob, but she just isn’t. (Based on behavior, if this was a duck I’d be confident it was a female. Protective/defensive, but not aggressive, LOUD, and is rather protective of & mothering to two 2 month old gosling's who ARE Africans, they came from Metzer, they’d better be)
