Guess the mix

We picked up two mixed breed chicks in February. The person we got them from wasn’t quite sure the parents.

This is Cleo. She has a smaller build and unique facial features compared to our other hens and even her sibling. Her face reddened up early too.

While it doesn’t quite show in this pic, her legs are almost blue. In the daylight, they look bright blue. Not green or slate like our EEs or Prairie Bluebell.

Starting to notice lighter colored earlobes as well.

Here is her sibling, Mama June, on the right who has yellow legs and is a slightly larger build.

Both have single combs.

What do ya think is in the mix here

I have some ideas, but I think my guesses will be a lot more accurate once they start laying and you can share their egg color.

Hey Paz, those are solid guesses! The Campine especially would cover the neck/head color, leg color, white earlobes, comb, and overall build.

I can't help but think there may be some Welsummer or Brown Leghorn in the mix as well or they could be the equivalent of a Starlight Green Egger

I stay with my guesses. BUT there’s a problem with my guess, since one of them has yellow legs, and I now realized phoenix hens do NOT have yellow legs.
So maybe they do have welsumer in them.
