I found a chick in my coop. I have been have roo fertility problems. But now I have a chick. Its clean legged and Black. I am so happy. It is my first one for the year.

Thats funny! Does it have a mama? I mean you knew about the egg, and just maybe thought it wouldn't hatch? Sorry if that sounds dumb.

well I set eggs under a hen and 3 others have been fighting over the nest for a couple weeks. Today is day24 and I didn't think I get any. I checked this morning and nothing. But at 2:00 I had one. I might get more but I am not sure.

I have another. She only hatched 2 but I am so happy. The second is black and a silver belly.

I lost 2 now and there 4 weeks and 4 days old,
I now that is cool that I didn't lose a lot but now Im down to 24 chicks, Plus I will not have a lot of roosters for the freezer,
