800 bucks for blood work and antidiarrheal medicine?! Were the needles and pill bottle made of solid gold!? If that was only a quarter of that price that'd still be too expensive. 800 is highway robbery!A friend did not just pay $6,000 for an emergency C section on a beagle - price for bloodwork and X rays not yet determined. Also, daughter did not just pay $800+ for bloodwork and anti diarrheal medication for her pug.

You’re absolutely rightWhen my mom's little Chihuahua had kidney problems it was 1k to diagnose and another 1k for one treatment cycle, at which point we had to have her put down since we couldn't possibly cover the routine treatment.
How many more pets would have more time / better health if they charged reasonable rates?
But it's not unique to vets. My insurance sent me a copy of the covered bill for routine annual human blood work. Also 1k.
The for-profit health industry is immoral IMO.
SAY IT!Would you lot just remember that poor mum is almost 94 and needs a rest.
