Guess what my barnyard mix Poppi is!

Well the Cochin part is for sure, but you might have to help me cheat with this one and tell me what hens have white legs on your farm? 🤣
How about I just name the different kind of chickens I have! But then I wonder if it will be too obvious!

I have a Cochin rooster which you all know! And the rest are hens.
Jersey giants, buff orp, frizzle silkie, white silkies, and blue laced wyandotte. I think that’s all my hens. Then I have the Enola but I’m almost positive it’s not from her. And some other mixes but they came after Poppi! I was thinking his mom is a white silkie since he has so much white on him. What do you all think?

Hmm, does your Cochin roo have white legs instead of yellow? I'm just wondering, because it looks like Poppi has white legs.

I havenoidea. I think the white dominance could just be from the Cochin and cover anything else up.

I would think a Silkie cross would make him a little more floofy, possibly crested, with some more melanization and maybe a different comb type?

Is Poppi full grown? Is your Silkie a standard or bantam? Maybe we could start looking at body size for the next clues...

He has really fluffy eyebrows though you can’t see it in the picture. I’m not sure what color his legs are because he has such fluffy legs but I’ll check!

I would guess Jersey Giant or possibly Orp for the white legs for the mother. What color Cochin is the father? If he was part Silkie he would have inherited other Silkie traits such as a crest, black skin, or extra toes.

Yeah, I thought black skin and walnut combs were dominant?
