Here's my guess based only on McMurray's chick pics of what they classify as rare and unusual , and it's apparently small size : Egyptian Fayoumis ..........................
......................... and I'm also guessing there's a good chance that you might be able to start another long thread in six months or less under " I think its a roo , but what breed or mix ? "

We got a FlyTyers rooster special from McMurrays and really enjoyed watching ALL the chicks develop. We sorted them by color and took pictures as they developed. We really learned a lot and were surprised how the chicks often did not resemble the adults. They were beautiful birds. We were intrigued with the Andalusians- got black, blue, and a white/black splash. They were VERY noisy.

Our exotic chick was a gold poland and we sold him on CL to someone who wanted fancy feathered chickens. We also ended up getting a female in the batch- a beautiful silver pencilled rock, and she's laying a pretty brown egg every day.

Crud. This is the hard part about coming across an old thread. I saw the adorable chicks, got in to all the suggestions, scrolled to the end to find out the answer to the mystery.... and nothing! No answer! I don't know what it is. Well, poo.
