Like all gamecocks, just because they were bred to fight in pits years ago. They are nice tame birds around people, those that raise them would cull all mean rooster or as they were called manfighters.

Sad thing alot of the strain of gamecocks will be lost. Yes Gamecocks can be kept with farm flocks even other rooster, just not another gamecock.

Lot of nice gamecocks out there blues,reds,grey, brown reds, and yes the pumpkin
