Mine are developing, I have a hen that is bantam, but she is 1/2 and her eggs are regular size.

All good! He is fine! All of them are, except Egg D45.

Well, my bantam eggs are a bit smaller.

Here is one of my eggs veins.

I also candled one of my eggs due on the 9th. day 15-16 (Light is only on the pointed end in this pic for a reason. And yes it has an air cell.)
On day 16 if you look in the air cell you will see space, and some fluid/veins near the air cell, at this time candle the pointed end too...

You should not see any light coming through (It would look like the air cell but at the pointed tip). If you do see light at day 16 + in the pointed tip, the egg will take longer to hatch than your set date. Maybe 2 days longer. Also I would not do a lock down on an egg that has fluid in the pointed tip.

HE? I don't think you want more males! I don't know about you, but I'm always hoping for hens when I hatch eggs!

I really don't care. I have no worries until the crow, I let them grow, and I find homes for males. I also pick through and keep the best.
