Guessing the sex of my future meal :)

I still think it's a rooster. He has sickle feathers and pointed saddle feathers. He's probably just not crowing yet. I have a few boys in the 5-6 month old range that still haven't ever crowed. If the other chickens are higher up in the pecking order and he is getting picked on, that would explain the hiding out in the nest.

He have 1 year and 3 months, and have the company of 2 egg layers commercial strain hens with middle age.

If you're determined it's not a rooster, why did you post asking what sex it is? There's really only two choices.

Effectively you are wrong, indeed all of you are wrong! There isn't only two choices, but three!
