Hello there. Long time chicken handler here: almost 70 years now, and not afraid to admit it!

I love my chooks: many rare breeds but mostly commons. All are tame as a loyal dog, and come when I call.
Also have some highlander cattle, sheep, and geese. Joined BYC because of my daughter, who is very much more literate when it comes to the internet than I am! She wanted me to spread my knowledge with the rest of you, but I'm not sure how much knowledge an old geezer like me has to offer though, so I may just be checking in to see if any good bits of knowledge have been dispensed by others once in a while.

Hope you have a fine day.

OMG Scotland... land of my ancestors (I am a Mackintosh) and place I love to spend time whenever I can! I was just there in May. If I could fly away and live anywhere that's where I would be. Somewhere near Nairn. Welcome to BYC your knowledge will be very helpful!

Thank you all very much. I'm not sure if I have the greatest knowledge, but anyone can learn something new, and I'm sure I will.

I was born in Nova Scotia and we're all mostly outcasts from Scotland. Henderson and Wilson. What kind of chickens do you have? If you learn to post pics you'll feel like you're really in the know...and we'd LOVE to see some.

Hello from Texas! I'm from an old Scottish family (McRae), too. I'm glad you're here and I'd love to see some pics of your chickens and where you keep them.

Welcome again from Arkansas this time and from another McIntosh! Just know that this is addictive!

We appreciate any knowledge you can share with us!
