My rooster is a rare pure breed Groninger Meuween from Netherlands. His name is Tiger, literally a pet nearly two years.Follows me on the street ,we go out on a morning walk even went on a road trip from London to Scotland.
Also travelled in a train.

Now his molting situation is worrisome. He is molting from several months although i can see the feathers are coming out . But it is very slow and he looks deshelved. Under his neck there not much growth. One side of the neck also doesn't have much feathers. So, is it because he is mounting too much on the Hens and its due to the friction? Or something more?

He also had lot of bumble foot but i treated it. The garden we have is filled with pebbles and stone . An acidic soil ..

If you're sure this isn't caused from mites, I'd put him on a vitamin supplement daily and bump up his protein.

Try giving him some probiotics too in case there's some imbalance in him. Sugarfree Greek yogurt is great. You can buy powders for their water.

I had one take nearly a year. Sometimes there's not much you can do but make sure their vitamins/protein are supplemented.

I am also giving him ,johnson poultry tonic.

I tried looking for mites, but could not find it.
