Guinea Are Evil! -- confirmed!

I've never had a problem with guineas around other poultry. I keep about 30 guineas, 45 chickens (including 3 roosters) together in the coop at night. They also mingle with ducks & geese out on range with no problems. It seems like they all just get along! I guess I am lucky. If anything, the chickens rule the roost!

you're guineas are not evil at all they sound normal to me.

mine enjoy scaring the chickens and run them around a bit but they dont hurt them at all (all tho the chickens might be missing a few feathers)

Our guineas are good with the hens. The hens actually give chase to the guineas - which are all male.

The intermingle just fine. The guineas are completely free range and the hens have a large fenced in pasture with the goats.

Our guineas get along with the hens, goats, and our dogs.

I think it's rare for people to be truly successful with guineas but once you learn how to do it it is easy and rewarding. Ours are carefully taking care of our garden now

My Guineas are JUST like the chickens. Some get their butts chased, some chase. Mine usually stick together in the "unimind" and I have NOT had one bit of trouble from them.

I have a few that are extremely friendly and none are afraid of me, my dog or the chickens.

They roost at night with a chicken on either side and they eat and drink right along with them.

I think your Guineas were not raised with chickens and they were left to survive on their own.

If you can get a hold of some young Guineas I think you will have a nice outcome.

Still haven't sold my guinea and haven't let them out of their coop again. I'm on my fourth word-of-mouth lead for a buyer. Most everyone is interested in keets.

I candled my guinea eggs, and I think a temperature spike in the incubator may have hurt some. It looks like 10 out of 18 eggs may be growing. The hatch would be around the 18th.

Sold the adult guinea I had acquired. Tried hatching and got only one, so also bought 2 keets in July. I was told if I raised keets up with my chicks and poults that they would all get along as adults. So that is what I've tried.

Look at this guinea. All 3 that I have look bloody in the face from banging on the fence and chasing/pecking/fighting with my chickens and turkeys.

I give up on guinea and go back to my belief that they are just plain EVIL!

My Guineas are good with the chickens but sometimes they attack my male ducks. They ALWAYS want control, they think their the boss. I have a pair of Pearls and hopefully soon I'll have some Coral Blue ones too.
