Heyas,
They seem to prefer just plain old wood with a sloped top and roost bar types 2'-3' off the ground.
They also seemed to be checking out the milk crate types too on my front porch.
The big thing seems to be QUIET and hidden without much traffic.
The porch, mehhh too much in and out.
Old shed I never hardly go in or even the main coop that collect eggs 2-3 times a day is ok.
Didn't seem to care what was in them either, shavings, hay or even just stored junk.
I snagged a bunch of eggs and put them under a scovy and then another bunch I'm letting collect in the hen house.
Figgured if they didn't brood them the chickens might.
I've only got a pair of lavs, trio of purples and a pair of pied pearls. Think I lost 2 to owls before the dogs wised up.
The ticks are HORRIBLE all ready this year so def want a bunch more to get this under control!
