Guinea Eggs: How many days incubation?

Heyas,

They seem to prefer just plain old wood with a sloped top and roost bar types 2'-3' off the ground.
They also seemed to be checking out the milk crate types too on my front porch.
The big thing seems to be QUIET and hidden without much traffic.
The porch, mehhh too much in and out.
Old shed I never hardly go in or even the main coop that collect eggs 2-3 times a day is ok.
Didn't seem to care what was in them either, shavings, hay or even just stored junk.

I snagged a bunch of eggs and put them under a scovy and then another bunch I'm letting collect in the hen house.
Figgured if they didn't brood them the chickens might.

I've only got a pair of lavs, trio of purples and a pair of pied pearls. Think I lost 2 to owls before the dogs wised up.

The ticks are HORRIBLE all ready this year so def want a bunch more to get this under control!

Thanks will try that when I get back from vacation will put them in their coop will let you know how it works for me peanut I have 14 and your right the ticks are auwful have already took so me of my dogs I tols my birds they needed to stay home and eat my bugs not the neighbors

Are the other Hens still laying new eggs in the nest? If so, IME the longer amount of time they spend on the nest to lay their egg, the closer to going broody they are... so you may get lucky and have a multi-broody nest.

But hey, at least you have one determined Hen on the pile so far! (That's better than NONE!).

I AM NOT SURE IF THEY ARE STILL LAYING OR NOT HAVE SO MANNY EGGS CAN'T TELL, BUT THIS MORNING THERE WERE TWO ON THE NEST , THE SAME TWO SO i GUESS TIME WILL TELL. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP PEANUT

Hi Peeps I have another question. I was wondering what I could spray in guinea house to help with lice.? I don't have any but I do have alot of wild birds flying in and out and I am afraid I might get them. I do have two nest in the house with three hens on one nest and no one on the otber one yet. Did not want to use any thing that would hurt them and I figured if any one would know it would be you, Hope you can help me and thank in advance Peanut

If you want organic safe.... DE, (de-something earth) sprinkle it on roosts, in nests, in dust bath (along with ashes is good stuff!). Can even sprinkle it right on the birds. In thier food also helps with parasites. It's little tiny shells that custs up the lil varmits and completely safe for the birds, eggs, meat....

Do you mean to use it with ashes like from burning things like leaves or what and do I have to order the de something earth over the internet or can I get it at a feed store like orschlen but will order it over the internet if I have to thanks so much peanut
