they are used to allert the DUMB chickens that there is reason to RUN.

They eat lots of bugs

You can eat thier eggs (though only seasonally)

You can eat them, but then you have to get replacement guineas.

You can use them to make the neighbors glad you only have 10, and realize that a couple chickens digging in thier garden "isn't as bad as those other things(guineas)" screaming at them for trying to scare them to go home.

Guineas are one of the best investments i have made bird wise around my farm!! They have served us very well, not one tick on the dogs since i started the flock, earwigs are way down in numbers, my flock LOVES to go and hang out under my father-in-laws fifth wheel trailer where he lives and they make all kinds of racket which i LOVE!!!!

They are noisy critters, no doubt, but it has kinda grown on me, they arnt friendly enough to hold but i can pet them sometimes when they gather around the feed bowl..........that is until they realise its not another bird but a human touching them then they skip off!!

They still arnt smart enough to figure out that they can indeed fly over a 3' cyclone fence that surrounds the yard, but instead they pace back and forth hollaring the whole time at the rest of the flock that is bug hunting in the field.

I love guineas!!
