guinea fowl question

As far as housing..I am housing them with all the others with no problem.I have been told if younger than 3 or 4 weeks they should not be wet........don't know why but since we have now recieved more rain in the last 6 months than we usually do all year and mine are just fine they should be okay as all the others are.

Noisy....YES!!!

If you are not allowed roosters, I doubt you will be allowed to have Guineas. Any unfamiliar movement will set them off (day or night), like leaves blowing, dog walking by, etc.

I love mine, I enjoy the sound, but I have friends who can't stand to hear them.

Mine have started to chase the chickens, & have killed several young chicks from DH's free range game hens. They don't mess with the peacock though!

Darn, they sound like they would be to noisy. I'd like another breed of bird. Maybe I could try quails. I'd like my own little petting zoo in the backyard.
