I had 6 eight week old keets in a dog run, they can get out of the rain and have a sun shade. Clean water and i put out more game crumbles usually twice a day. I noticed one on Tuesday night wasnt up on the roosts with the others. Last night it was dead. I don't see any feather plucking and it seemed to be reasonable weight for its size. Others were still fluttering around this morning and acting normal. on tuesday I dumped the old feed out as they like to stand on the feeder and poop and noticed a couple maggots in the bottom ( apparently part of it had gotten wet. ) Could it have eaten some and gotten sick? I figure it will eat a whole lot worse in the yard ( found a partially consumed frog the ducks or chickens left for me on the driveway. )

If the feed got wet, there is a good chance it started to mold. If that guinea happened to eat a lot of the moldy feed, that certainly could cause it to die. Birds do not tolerate mold very well at all.

i'll make sure to empty the feeder again today since I know it rained.
