My pearl is very friendly & social with immediate family., Quasey and loppy were our first and both hens. I was given the girls at 4 weeks old. Loppy limped badly, and her feet were both curved to the right if you were in front of her. I thought she wasn't turned enough as an egg? that's how her feet were shaped. She was a runt, barely a pound. We lost loppy a few weeks ago, i found her in a nest box one morning.
As if she just went to sleep, my poor little girl. Quasey cried for several days looking for her. it was so sad. I have 2 cocks and a hen (whites) i was given and they are just hateful. fight amongst themselves constantly. They won't approach Quasey since my red laced black wyandotte rooster thinks Quasey is his love of his life. I hope to keep any eggs from Quasey and the white hen, maybe the chicks will be more social if i raise them. Quasey will always be here, she is a sweetheart. She perches on my shoulder when i sit down to watch chicken TV
She loves people (family members only) I miss my little loppy very much. she would peck my foot till i scooped her up in my lap. The whites are going to be the meatie guardians, or stew,.. they are just hateful birds and i can't seem to get them any friendlier. I have never seen any fowl this hateful, even geese. Ugh anyone need a few white guineas i have 3 i despise.
