I use the turkey or wild bird starter for my guineas. It has the higher protein that they need because they grow so fast. They eat it for a while so with five you could do fine with a 50 pound bag. I raised my guineas in a different box than my chickens.

And, I just looked at the feed bag this morning and it is 18% chick starter/grower. Can I offer them hard boiled chicken eggs for extra protein?

cw - yay! more chicks. IMO anything thats fluffy makes a great gift! What kind of chicks are you getting?
