they are beautiful. thanks rooster0209. i love them. i think i might get more guineas one of these days but if i do and i use IF very strongly i WILL MAKE SURE i know how TO TAME them so you can walk right up to them and pick them up to put the STUPID things in the coop.
and you know what else i hate about them.
they TORTURE AND I MEAN TORTURE MY CHICKENS.
one of them will chase a chicken into a corner and then the others will come in and attack it.
one time i saw it happen and the chicken was all bloody within a matter of seconds with 5 guineas beating on her(a white silkie hen)
i tryed to catch them b/c then i was determined to get rid of them but when i went in from behind one shot off over my head and then the others and ive been trying to catch them ever since then(6-8 months ago). i cant even catch them in teh dark because if there outside there either up in a tree out of my reach or if there inside there in the rafters. they are smart but dumb at the same time. you know what i mean???

well i can tell you what is dumber than ur yellow lab. a guinea thats what. they are super fun until they get to the age where you cant catch them or u cant get them to go inside unless your planning on keeping them penned up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chickenbuddy that is true very true. my dog eats bugs. such as moths and trys to catch flys in mid air. but still. guineas are dumb.

They are dumb but seem to survive. My parents can remember the chickens and gunieas for that matter freezing to the tree limbs when they were young. They think we spoil our fowl now

I'm constantly getting the story "I remember ours roosting in the tree beside the house and their feet would freeze to the limbs. They would have to wait on the sun to come up and warm them up enough to move before they could fly down during the day".

yeah well i hope mine dont tonight. its 2 degrees out now and where supposed to get 1-2 inches of snow.so i hope i can get them in tomarrow night so they dont get snowed on. but i dont know. they are dumb.
yeah aint that amazing. they are one of the dumbest of all fowl but yet the smartest when it comes to surviving. ill get some pics of mine tomarrow. LOTS O PICS!!!!

chickenbuddy after you get your birds your dog will be smart

or at least seam to be. the direction there head is pointed in the morning that is the way they go till dark most of the time if you live close to the big road (the ones with lines painted on thelm) they love the yellow one and when they find it it will become there daily job to walk it till they all have been run over.
