Guineas dying from fatty liver disease

Just found another guinea dead. The last one had a necropsy and cause of death was fatty liver disease.

they all eat layer feed which I give to the chickens. And watermelon, which they love.

they free range for about 2 hours a day.
Turns out they are obese weighing in at 8 lbs.

Any ideas on how to get them to loose weight
@Matisse188 - you didn't mention- have they all been females?

Looks like I’m left with three males. They are eating Dumore layer feed

I'm not sure how much help I can give, but I have guineas they are housed with our chickens and are feed layer pellet, the same as the chickens. They are given some food waste, and allowed to free range, most days it's all afternoon. I'm not sure what the problem is your experiencing, but to me it doesn't seem like food.

Sounds like the hormone connection, perhaps. I do apologize, I wasn't making light of your loss, I was stunned; truly can't visualize an 8 lb guinea
No worries. We had no idea till we googled how big a guinea should be. It is our first time with birds
