Any 1911 Firearm Enthusiasts out here at BYC?

I'm a Springfield Armory fan and really love the Range Officer Operator and TRP (Tactical Response Pistol)

I'm looking for a gift to my oldest Son who is getting married and was wondering what others thought about other 1911 Brands?

Kimber, Colt, Remington etc?

Springfield makes some awesome 1911s, however my Sig 1911 has really surprised me on how much fun it is. The slide is somewhat proprietary, so finding holsters can be a chore. But once broken in, they are fantastic 1911s.

This is my baby. 6.5 creedmoor 1/2 Moa and reach out to 2200 yards before I don’t have enough optics.
Hunting rifle is a 270 short mag. Game getter out to 600 if wanted/needed.

Nothing like the 6.5 but my little .308 will reach out and touch something at a fer piece if necessary!! The optic is an inexpensive one (great out to 300 yards) but (since this pic) the trigger I put in is an awesome little 3.5lb gem! Works great for broke down arthritic fingers!

I built this over two years. I caught ‘sales’ on the parts I wanted. I’m only 2200 into this ncluding optics.

I’m running a triggertech. Worth the money at 10x the price for a decent trigger.
