When you get it, and get familiar with it, please update us with a review, and your take on it.
will do,

what i do like about it so far, is the fact for us in Canada its not considered a gun (meaning no license to own and use) so anyone over 18 can get one to my knowledge.

also i can use it for upland game birds and rabbits so it will be tested out for small game hunting.

Any 1911 Firearm Enthusiasts out here at BYC?

I'm a Springfield Armory fan and really love the Range Officer Operator and TRP (Tactical Response Pistol)

I'm looking for a gift to my oldest Son who is getting married and was wondering what others thought about other 1911 Brands?

Kimber, Colt, Remington etc?

Thanks!

Never owned a 1911. I've looked at many and shot many. Just never pulled the trigger on one, yet... lol.

I know a guy who's father and uncle's worked at the Remington factory during WWII. He has there collections. Which needless to say is rather impressive. Many, many unfired 1911's from WWII. I've drooled over a few of them many times. Original holsters, and mags too.

This is my baby. 6.5 creedmoor 1/2 Moa and reach out to 2200 yards before I don’t have enough optics.
Hunting rifle is a 270 short mag. Game getter out to 600 if wanted/needed.

S&W doesn’t make the PD model anymore though. Sig makes some nice ones I was looking at the other day. Personal preference really when it comes to 1911s and how much you want to spend. Also, many come with tac rails now which would be nice if he want to add a light or laser. I’m spoiled with tritium sights so they are a must for anything else I buy.

DH has a few, I don't care for any of them, couldn't tell you which ones he has though as my cabinet is mine and his is his.
I don't care for the weight distribution or the grips.
That said, firearms are like jewelry, it's a VERY personal choice and one I would leave up to the recipient. I'd never by either and HOPE they'd like it.
