Gun legislation- anyone heard about this?

My cousin (who serves in the Marine Reserves) took his daughter to a pediatrician's office a few months ago. They had to fill out a questionnaire in the waiting room. It asked whether the child had been vaccinated and lived in a drug-free home among other things. Then he got to the question that outraged him: "Does the child live in a gun-free home?"

With attitudes like this, where are we headed???

In the words of a great man. Will have my guns. They will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands.

Most people knew this would happen after the election. Its who we put if office. Will never vote for anyone for gun control, no matter what party. Thats why gun sales went thru the roof, after the election.

Goverment is getting out of control, let those know who we put in charge, if they vote for gun control, they will not get your vote.

Isn't it ironic, considering doctor malpractice is responsible for more deaths than guns in the U.S. every year.
They should be asking how many times have you seen a doctor this year.

I am not going to read through all of this thread because I have already beaten this topic on other forums.

I will say this.....Thousands of bills are drafted and submitted to committee every year...few ever return for a vote....Until HR 45 is returned to the floor for a vote there is no point in getting worked up about it. You can look it up on the US congress website and read the full text if you like and then you will know what it is actually about.

It only has one sponsor and no co-sponsors so the chances of it ever making it out of committee is slim. It is one of those bills that was drafted because the congressman who drafted it owed some favor to an intrest group.
