If I carried that thing on the street it would be taller than me with the bayonet attached. I should be able to get a pistol, the problem is that I don't have a utility bill in my name, which is really the biggest thing hindering me from buying one. They won't even take a pay stub. They think I would drive all the way from Las Vegas to work here and go home there... At least that is what they told me.

Heres my opinion on that.
Clean but about a rape.

"Ladies, I don't want you to go for the mace, I want you to get a concealed weapons permit."
I have a new hero, thank you for sharing that.

THIS is a big part of why I don't live in CA any more. because they don't believe you have a right to defend yourself.

are you married? your husband can buy a handgun, and once he takes possession, transfer it to you. we did that with some of my hubby's guns when we still lived there. transfer between spouses is a paperwork exercise, I think it costs $15, you fill out a form and send it to the CA ATF.

"Just before Christmas, owners of certain firearms were informed by letter that their rifles had been reclassified as prohibited weapons in Canada and they must be turned over to police officials.
Failure to comply would mean the weapons would be taken by force and the owners thrown in jail. The reason for the change: The rifle looks scary.
The Armi Jager AP-80 is a .22-calibre rimfire rifle that looks like the AK-47, the Soviet-era military rifle. The fact is the AP-80 doesn’t work like the AK-47, fires a vastly smaller round than the AK-47 and has no parts that are interchangeable with the AK-47."

The person writing this article does not know much about guns. "Soviet-era military rifle." They have been making the AK-47 for a long time.

So if you have a .22 rifle that just looks like an AK-47, it is illegal. That is a stupid law. I see the U.S. isn't alone in creating stupid laws.

That sounds like the assault weapons ban that the United States put in place in the past. It seemed to be based largely on whether the rifle had a black or military-style stock. I saw a demonstration that a person with a Glock can change clips/magazines and fire more rounds than many of the semi-automatic so-called assault rifles.

By the way, didn't the guy carrying the AK-47 at the Occupy event get arrested?

rebelcoyboysnb, what do you mean the state makes you disarm at the state line? Do you mean you can't carry a concealed weapon? You can openly carry a gun. I saw a video of a guy in Oregon who openly had a pistol in a holster on his belt. He was walking through a city with a video camera to see if the police would say anything. Two police officers on bicycles stopped him and said some people had complained he was carrying a gun. The police said it makes people nervous when someone openly carries a gun. The man said he always openly carries a gun. The police officers asked the man his name, but the man refused and said he wasn't required to tell the police his name unless he was under arrest. The two police officers talked to each other and told the man he could go. The laws of the United States allow a citizen to bear arms.

However, I think walking around a park with an AK-47 strapped to your back is excessive.

The AK-47 has been used since 1947.Certain states have different laws regarding how you can carry a gun. The man with the AK-47 did not get arrested because he was in georgia.

He was actually texting to a forum I am on while down there. No he wasn't arrested. In Ga you can openly carry long guns as long as your not a felon. You can also openly carry hang guns with a permit. But even with my permit South Carolina will not let me carry a gun in there state. They do not except my Ga WCL as valid an do not issue thear CCW permit to out of state residents. I literally have to leave my guns at home if I go to South Carolina.
Here is where I cant carry. Red an black I cant an blue an green I can. I do have to know an follow the laws of that state though so even though mine is a WCL I have to conceal carry in states that conceal an so on.
