Wow - Thats one well built coop to be able to take a hit like that and not be completely flattened! be proud of it!

the idea of using the aspen as a ridge pole in the rebuild. I say go for it! Heck, you may be able to put together a whole post and beam structure with it. I think Aspen rots pretty quick though.

You should rebuild it right where it is. At least you know that tree won't be falling on it now.
