Thanks so much everyone. So great to see everyone's comments after a long night of nightmares that my house was going to burn down because of the heat lamp. Hahaha thanks again everyone.
I only wanted girls. Last night before bed my husband asked me if the lady was able to tell for sure and I got those "deer in the headlights" look. I was so excited picking the colors I wanted, I TOTALLY FORGOT. I am not normally that forgetful and have been consumed with research for 2 years. How could I forget that. Haha Feeling like a total dork.

Silkies are very hard to sex. So anybody that tells you that they can, at such a young age, beware. I bought mine "supposed vent sexed" to be female. All male, when l called the guy back to tell him, he said it's only 60% accurate. But back when I bought them, he was like," yeah! Their female, vent checked and all. No guessing, am 100% sure!" I was such a newbie then! But then these folks on BYC set me straight. There's a forum on here about sexing Silkies, it's very helpful. Other then that it's a mystery until 5 to 6 mouths until they crow or lay an egg! Good luck! "And may the odds be forever in your favor."
Sorry, huge Hunger games fan!

the only thing you should bath is their vents if there is poop there. and then very carefully, if they become pasted, they will die very quickly. so check at leaset twice a day for poop stuck to the vent. best thing to prevent this is plenty of water. btw. I put water in their chick food to give them even more. of couse this soggy feed needs to be changed more often,, but the water thing is ssooooo important.
