Quote: Ooh! What does he play?
My sweetie plays bluegrass - flatpicks a mean guitar, plays mandolin, banjo...everything - and plays in one of the biggest bluegrass bands in Portland, Maine (They've been at it 16 years!). He also teaches traditional music at a music school here. I played mandolin for the last 6 years but have taken up stand-up bass this winter & really enjoy it. It is handy to have a music teacher in the house, but my folks played bluegrass all throughout my childhood so a lot of it is second nature. (My Mom gave me her old bass this winter, which was given her by my Uncle on my Dad's side, who got it from my Godfather, so bluegrass runs in the family.)
Quote: I've always heard great things about them. I have a friend in N.H. who raises them & will probably get some from her.
How have you found them to be? Good foragers? Good layers? Friendly?
I have only heard rave reviews, but always thought the next ducks I got would be Welshies. But, even in the cold light of day he's sitting right here looking at fence aprons... I am also about to order some from my friend because he says we "don't want it to get TOO late in the season,".
Seriously, something fishy is going on here.
