Had quail eggs shipped to me. Packaged delayed. Still ok to hatch?

Mine were supposed to arrive on the 10th. The tracking says "Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility."

There hasn't been an update since the 11th.

Thats what happened with mine from usps. Then randomly showed up this morning by a different driver who just kind of chucked the package on the porch. I candled and found 1 cracked and the rest seemed OK as far as I can tell..guess we shall see

I definitely will! I'm going to candle as well in a few days and hope for the best. Keep me updated as well!

I will! I should probably candle tonight to check for hairline cracks too.

Keep me updated on how it goes. Mine came but in BAD condition. Most of them were crushed but I tried to save the few that I could. I put them in the incubator.... fingers crossed something happens! I'll candle on day 3 and see if anything is going on in there.

Candled today and even though the room is hard to get dark enough to see a lot, there is definitely some beating/movement and development in the eggs I checked. Here's to hoping atleast some hatch

I'm so glad! We candled last night and I was shocked but some of the eggs were developing! I had very low hopes but we saw movement and heartbeats! I did take out 8 eggs that were definitely not fertilized. And I noticed that a bunch had their air sacs on the side, not the fat end, so I hope that doesn't cause too much trouble later on. Fingers crossed! Keep me updated on your hatch!

I have incubated 2+ week old bobwhite eggs with 100% given they were my eggs but its all about the shipping.

@Urbanhomestead_ut. Officially hitting day 17 at about noon today (in about 4ish hours). So far we have one out healthy and good to go! Hoping there is more!

You might want to get some paper towels or grippy shelf liner in there. Those gaps are intended to be safe for chicken chicks, and are just a bit big for quail chicks.

I definitely need to! I was going to when I put on lockdown but couldn't find my shelf liner anywhere. Here in a bit if it's the only one hatched yet and is all nice and dry , and there's no pips I'm gonna sneak it out to the brooder and see if i can sneak in my liner that I finally found.
