Had to kill a chick today......

Well I've had a chick that couldn't walk on one leg and over the past few weeks it's gotten worse and worse. The foot stayed cold and unresponsive but the bird was in pain any time it moved. So I decided that decapitation was the best route for me to take. R.I.P. Franklin

Right. It was my first time doing it too.

I wish I could say that it gets easier. I just try to focus on the fact that they're not suffering anymore. :-/

Yeah. It really wasn't easy. I don't regret doing it though. He was suffering too much. So that's good he's not hurting anymore

I keep having to do this because I hatch so many---and it does not get easier for the most----I just know I am stopping them from suffering.
