Had to make a few modifications

Long post.....

So my dear little chicks had grown big enough to be seeking good places to roost. We had set them up to roosting bars at staggered levels, and they had started playing around on them during they day. So you can imagine how annoyed/worried I was when they decided to use the electrical conduit along the back wall and the fans instead. 🙄

I resigned myself to them using the conduit until they "get too big to get up there", but after a few weeks was worried they were going to hurt themselves trying to get places they were getting too big for. So put up some panels to stop them, and added a higher roost for them to use.

Still trying to keep them off the fans. Determined little devils. 😅

That's what I had heard, and I have already had at least one "miss" getting a good grip on the conduit and fall to the floor. Luckily there were no injuries, but that is when I said enough is enough and started looking for ways to modify.

I like your creative solutions! Those are some crazy pictures! Who would've thought they'd roost there? I put up a roost for mine, and all but two of them have decided to sleep on one cinderblock instead (highest point I guess). Seven chickens on one cinderblock, and now they're sleeping all nine together. Glad I'm not the only one with crazy chickens.
