Hair wrapped around toe! Help! *UPDATE* She is doing good!

Are you trying to get the hair off now..or typing on here? You should be working on the chickens foot until the hair comes off..
Have you tried the end of a needle like someone suggested? WHAT exactly are you doing now to get it off?
Just wondering...

I'm on an iPod. Multitasking.

Okay good!! Good luck!!

her toe fell off too. So I wrapped her foot and put oitment on it. I gave her a scrambled egg this morning and boy did she love it. She is playin with my two bantams right now and I hope her foot gets better fast. I wish I could've gotten the hair off. will she need anything else for her foot?

Awww, I'm sorry that you didn't get it off. Keep her in a clean environment and she will do fine. Follow the instructions everyone has given you for care and she will be fine.

If it makes you feel any better, I have two 5 month old ameraucanas that lost toes to frost bite, and they are fine now, walking around and scratching. You can see pictures of them on my page.

It's just nice to know that there are people out there who are helpful and kind. Thank you to everyone and if I figure out how I will post pictures of her later.

Yes I don't know what I would do without this site. As a first time chIcken owner I don't know that much about chickens but I'm getting there

Well, I thought I would let everyone know that she is doing great now! She is a happy lil fluff ball and is outside playing with her siblings. I named her Fuzzball..
