Is this an example of BLOWING? Correct me if I am wrong please..
Um... wow. That's a whole lot fancier than what I do.This is a horror film! LOL I can't believe her eggs survived being stabbed with a skewer.
I'll share my method. I think it's easier. Especially if you are trying to blow out a fertilized egg. (I think their shells are thicker and inside doesn't break up as easy)
I use a large gauge needle. The kind you can put on a syringe. 20g or bigger. With the needle in hand but not on the syringe pierce the shell. The needle is sharp enough to cut through. (No stabbing required!) You can twist it a little to move it through. Do this on both ends.
Now the easy part. Don't give yourself a headache trying to blow the insides out. Put a syringe on the needle. A big 20 cc one works. Fill the syringe with air and slowly push air into the egg.
I have actually had an egg pop. Literally like a balloon. Not into a million pieces but generally two large halves. Monitor air pressure in the shell. I push a little air in then let my thumb off the plunger. If it backs up on its own, to much pressure. Let it release and try again. You can go back and forth between which end you push air into. I've shaken them to break up the inside when it gets stuck. You can even suck the insides out. It turns the insides to tiny bubbly goop. Not appetizing if you want to scramble them.
I then use the syringe to rinse the inside of the egg.
It sounds complicated buts it easy. Poke hole in both ends use syringe to blow in air.Um... wow. That's a whole lot fancier than what I do.![]()

I did mine with small drill bits that I just spun in my fingers. You have to go slow though (using more rotations and gentle pressure) I ruined one egg because I was trying to get through too quickly. I reemed one hole larger with a slightly bigger drill bit after I got the smaller one through. This is a horror film! LOL I can't believe her eggs survived being stabbed with a skewer.
