Has anyone else experienced their chickens laying a half white and brown egg? I found this guy in my coop today!

I got an egg a couple of says ago that was similar, the odd coloration went around the egg from end to end not around the middle like others I have gotten in the past. I was going to take a picture but ate the egg. Every once in a great while I get a similar egg. I'm sure I have a picture of one in my thousands of pictures.

Don't worry, I have them once in a great while. The bird had a hiccup in her plumbing.
Yup, glitch in the paint department.

Is the shell the same thickness all the way round? I had one hen that laid eggs that had a lighter spot on one side that was also very thin in the shell department.

With the spots v7sible on the lighter portion, this appears more if a bloom application variance rhan a pigment variance.. .happens a lot and things like fingers touching it, changes in temp (counter to fridge or vice versa) often causes the appearance to change (ie the spots where fingers have touched)
