Half my batch is gone

If you don't want to shell out the money for a new one right now, the incubator "can" work just fine. You just have to get it dialed in properly. Do a search here for your model number and read some threads on ways others have found to make them more stable. It will always require a little more babysitting than the more expensive units, but sometimes you have to make-do with what you have. At least don't buy any expensive hatching eggs until you get it dialed in.
(and never trust any thermometer or hygrometer straight out of the box)

Best of luck!

Seriously mine just read 137' when it was only 82'. My husband is mad and wants me to throw it in the trash. I have a new rcom king auto and yesterday I bought an rcom 20. They were extremely expensive but I've had enough. :)

I wonder if this is a mass production issue?
Not trying to step on toes, nothing like that, but that is the same model iv'e used for three hatches now and not had issues.
I didn't adjust it, plugged it in and just went with it.
The only thing iv'e done is remove that dumb plastic off the temp probe and shortened the wires.
No fluctuations, no misread humidity nothing!
Just popped six more in this morning, so we will see if my luck holds.:fl

I think it's likely a combination of mass production and production without a concern for the equipment working for an extended period of time. Like refrigerators, remember when back in the 50's those things just rarely ever died, and some people have some going still today? Yet nowadays, 5-10 years is often it.

What I've read most is either they don't work well to begin with, or they work well for a period of time and then go on the fritz because the electronics can't handle the moist environment indefinitely. You're bound to get some good ones here and there, of course.

Not stepping on toes at all! I am so happy for you that it seems to be working!! Just wish mine were!!keep us updated!
I sure will, hate that yours is being dumb it is awful to buy one and it dosen't do right.

Remember them? Iv'e got one still plugging along!
Funny thing is I got the LG because normally if I spend alot things turn out badly so I went with the cheapest.
I possibly made my own luck expecting disappointment.

So, I was thinking and since you had some success without that plastic piece I decided to try it. And voila! The incubator is now reading within one degree of the thermometers. I mean. Omg. Still not sure about humidity but it should be pretty good since we are in the south and it is in a bathroom.
