My dad decided to get rid of 6 chickens from a flock of 13 in the middle of the day. When I let my flock of now 7 chickens into the coop for the night, they were very slow, they didn't make a single pep. When I gave them food, they ate it slowly. They also stayed away from me, they used to follow me. Is there any way that I can help them. Do I give them a bit of sugar for energy or something else?
I now have 3 Australorp hens, 2 Golden Laced hens, 1 Easter Egger, and 1 Silver Duckwing rooster.

Oh no! Chickens do mourn for their buddies whether they were sold to someone far away or killed by a predator.

Ya, also the big thing is that three rooster went, that really messed up the pecking order. All of the chickens are acting like they are at the bottom of the pecking order now and they are basically digging holes to go lower then each other.

They may be sunbathing. I would try to give them some treats

Treats is a good idea! A scrambled egg (or their preferred treat, or healthy scraps) might get them interested, and the nutrition will help them recover from the stress.
Okay, I will give scrambled eggs to them. Do you think mixing sliced green apples is also a good idea? They love scrambled eggs and green apples, would mixing them up cheer them up more?
