It really shouldn't have needed EXTRA... this seller has some pretty good reviews through Good Egg Bad Egg on FB and on Rare Breeds on FB... this box got caught on a conveyor or something. He is sending me replacements, we were deciding on marking or not marking the box this time or 1-day or reg 2-3day... decided on unmarked box this time, standard 2 dayish... crossing our fingers. The carrier said it arrived like that and was scanned, I was at work, she told my daughter that, pretty sure she meant x-ray'd so the survivors are likely toast... look though

5 blood rings. 2 with visibly cracked shells. The kids deny even looking at the incubator. I'm not buying it.

10/24 D'uccle eggs have veins. Only 2 of the porcelain have growth.

I candled the eggs I have in the bator on Day 7, which was yesterday. 4/12 EEs and 3/6 SLWs developing. 2 blood rings, both EEs. One of the developing SLWs is cracked and covered with clear nail polish, really hoping that one makes it! Rest of them seem to be clears. Any ideas why? They were shipped, but well packaged. Temperature is controlled by the STC 1000, humidity hovering between 30-40%. I let them sit 18 hours before setting. They are turned 3-5 times a day. 

Could it be because it's the time of year for molting? A breeder I talked to said she had no hatching eggs available simply because they aren't fertile now. 

These guys are due the Saturday right before Halloween e

I feel the same way. I think they are just infertile, I'll leave them in a few more days, but really I'm pretty happy,  I was only expecting a dozen eggs and got 2 instead, so if I think of it like it's 10/12 eggs I feel much better, haha. Let's just hope they all get to hatch.

11 eggs in lockdown last night, luckily for us with this storm in we didn't loose power (yet)!

I am doing the very happy expectant baby chick mommy dance. It is day 5 and I have 3 eggs doing amazing. These Egg's are from Trader Joes. This is Egg # 1 so its TJ of course. Egg # 2 is Boo as they will hatch on Halloween and Egg # 3 is not named yet. Sooooo excited!

Finally got a picture (have many, many videos). I planned on moving them all out last night but we didn't have time. So tonight, they are getting moved. After that, I might never get a chance to get close to them again.

I had just taken out a dish of eggs for them. They were super excited!
