Incubate in the big one and hatch in the two smaller ones

A year ago, he said absolutely NO to ducks and turkeys. Now he seemed almost excited to get the turkeys this week, and ducks next week, that I was.... Gimme a few years. I'll grow on him.

He still is adamant that he dislikes the birds though. LOL

So by this time next year you'll have your own incubation room in the house full of incubators right?

Maybe if I ever get a garage built, and our kitchen remodeled. I want to turn our now kitchen into a mud/laundry room. and build a new kitchen. I want to build a garage, but I really want to turn the building into 2 bedrooms, a kitchen/sitting area with a walk in pantry and an island bar with stools for the kids to eat at, with a half-bath between the two bedrooms. Our kitchen is so small, the fridge is in front of the back door, because thats the only place there was room for it. And I can barely get into my W/D.

Our tiny kitchen is impossible to deal with and the house is old. If we could mouse-proof a building to some extent, then it wouldn't matter if we had the occasional mouse in our laundry room.

Big dreams. He said "maybe" we could do it in the future. lol at the rate we are going, it will be about 3 years from now or so before he'll let me build that garage and the new kitchen.

haha

well I can't remodel the kitchen until I build a new building for it. ;) So the building comes first, then the kitchen/laundry room, then maybe a... incubator room as you called it :p

My 4 eggs from group #1- are now filling almost 3/4 of the egg now, and I can still see movement in there when I candle them.

My 10 eggs from group #2- I am still not seeing anything interesting in them yet.

Poor thing.

I'm in again, lol. I keep saying I'm done hatching for the year and it keeps not happening. But some AC eggs are about to find their way into the incubator, and I'll probably set some of my own eggs for an actual Halloween hatch.

Welcome!

Oh, how fun! I have 2 broody hens right now, one Australorp, and one Buff Orpington. The Australorp has 12 eggs, and we will be giving the Orpington 14 tonight (would have been last night, but 2 of the eggs we got from my sister broke :-( ). I also have a Buff Orpington with three 8 week old chicks she still takes care of. She is a great mother! She was our first broody! These other 2 just started laying a month ago. I can't wait to see the variety of chicks we get!
Good luck!

The last picture I took is of the eggs chosen to go under our broody Buff Orpington. There should be 3 dark brown ones, but after picking them up from my sister, we broke 2 of them! So, hoping her hen lays one tomorrow for a replacement.
Nice!
