This photo is of the sellers babies. Hoping I get a light one. Or a red.![]()
Mornin again Michael! hugs and love, how is hatching coming along!!
gonna share pics?
Boy, these two babies pipped, zipped and were out within this afternoon, early evening...two black chicks so far. NOT NN's.![]()
4 more chances to go. No pips on those yet, but have seen two wriggle. Tomorrow is the due date.
WOOHOO!!!!! i plan on putting a chick in with my ducks if they hatch so teach them to eat and drink3 little Ayam cemani babiesLooks like the last egg may be DIS. I'm happy with the 3 that hatched and they are happily relaxing in the brooder and already nibbling at their food
Next lockdown isn't till Tuesday. By the time the next ones start hatching, these little ones should know exactly what to teach the new babies.![]()
wow thats some crazy flooding!Thank you for your concern. Unfortunately we're already there with rats...lol.
We flooded in 2014. (Where WAS my ark?) lol

And then came the scourge of rats. We're assuming they were displaced by all the water.
Our footings and cement floor are cracking/heaving making conditions ideal for the rats.

I've been trapping rats (among others) all year.
Hubby and I have a sprightly bet on who will trap the most rats. I'm winning.![]()
The baby bunners look about weaning age. They're free ranging loose with the adults. I have no control there.
I think if anything would've got them it would've been the guy below because he was hunting rats.
Too bad he was always around the coop and into things. (Even the coop when I was in it)![]()

The adult rabbits will put the run on my biggest roosters. I'm not too worried about the wee guys.![]()
I'm finding the rabbits are helping clean up grain etc which helps keep food from the rats.
(We have cattle and we feed grain/hay/green feed.)
Update: No quail...yet.
x2....cuties in black.![]()

So you keep you're bunny in the coop? I had thought of doing that...but ended up with too many rabbits to do it.
You bunny sounds like ours...lol. Have you had any issues arise from her being with the chickens?
Very pretty eggs! love the color of the BCMs!!
Today is day sixteen, and it doesn't look like any of the eggs are going to make it. I can only be sure that one was doing anything, and it has a blood ring.
