Are you setting Homegrown eggs or ordered?

I'm setting ones that I got from a farm yesterday and some of my own. I have to go collect eggs in a few minutes. Should be Cochin, Delaware, and barred rock cross with black jersey giant.

The ones from the farm I got are all crossed with Brahma, but they had several different pullets/hens so I don't know what's coming out of them. I only got 5 because 1 broke when they were collected.

My Homegrown eggs always hatch out ultimately some form of a black chick. They'll be solid black, black with white barring, black with red/brown barring, equally speckled black/white. My Roo is a Barred Rock Bantam!!! I didn't know black was dominant when I got him with my flock.

Mine are mainly black and only 5 are yellow or white with black dots. No idea what they'll be like when they feather out, it looks like they'll be white like my Delaware. Since some of their wing feathers are coming in. I thought all mine would be black because of their dad being a black jersey giant. Some of the white/yellow ones a RSL crosses too. I don't get genetics at all The chick I saved today is a RSL cross.

The only problem I ever had with ordering from our local farm that orders from a hatchery is that instead of giving us 2 JG pullets, they gave us 2 JG Cockerels. They're working for us so I'm not too upset about it.

That's the only mistake they have made in 5 years so I'm good with that. I love how I can call the local farm and look at their ordering list online to order specific breeds. My Delaware is gorgeous and so aren't my Cochins. I love having a variety.

No idea what will pop out of those eggs I bought! The rooster that they had in there was a Brahma so they should be big chickens. The eggs are white, brown, and cream.

Not just chicks, you can order entire reptiles, hermit crabs, fish, plants, so many living things! It’s crazy! Lol

My Swedish Flower Hens came early, 6 out of 8 eggs. 3 Blonde, 2 brown and 1 black/white..

Btw guys my turner is flat too. Mine is the IncuView from Incubator Warehouse.

I can try to get a video of it turning later if anybody wants. I have it set to turn 6 times a day. Though it’s off right now.

Do it!! That’s what I’m considering doing with mine depending on how many hatch

Maybe even keeping a roo or two and adding him to either my current flock or the new girls

I didn't say anything because I was trying to comprehend in my head what went on when I bought the eggs. It took my over 6 hours to process. Probably glad I got so little because I'm not sure what's going to pop out. Could be aliens

If you get aliens I'll be glad to take them off your hands!
