I laugh because we ended up putting all of the kitty stuff in Halo's kennel.... and now when the kennel door is open, Halo still tries to go in there and lay on his bed, next to the litter box and dishes and kitty toys, etc. I always look at him, looking so sad and forlorn for having lost his kennel, and say "Ah, poor Halo, leave it to a woman to come along and redecorate!"

She's now out and about the house, so he will have his kennel back in a short while

I'm saving this post to show to my DH the next time he complains about me dressing the cat...

And the cat gets that same patient, "Mom's a pain but I love her" look in her eyes over it, too!!

Your dog's a PANSY

Yup. If Halo and Callie ever got together while all dressed up they'd both have the same expressions on their faces. I don't have a picture of Callie handy. Sadly, she's outgrown Build-a-Bear outfits

Now I'm having to resort to little dog costumes

I used to dress our little dogs up all of the time when I was little.... no wonder she was always biting me in the face! HAHAHA The cat got dressed up too, though, I do think she enjoyed it more than the dog...go fig

I think the pansy thing would go over a lot of people's heads. They know what a pansy is by definition, but I've noticed a lot of people never pay attention to what kind of plants they grow.

I had a big tom cat that I dressed in baby clothes while I was pregnant. I did it for the fun of seeing Scooter in drag. Later I learned that dressing a cat is actually good practice for dressing a squirmy baby!

That cat was soooo tolerant. He was big and fully clawed but he never ever hurt me. Once I tried to give him a bath and he showed me his claws and his look clearly said, "Do this again and you'll bleed." So he never got another bath. But he 'let' me dress him up repeatedly.

Somewhere in a box I have pictures of a big ginger tom dressed in a pink baby dress
