Hands down, what is a chickens FAVORITE food/treat/scraps?

Pasta in any form.......spaghetti, soba noodles, cous cous. They'll leap high in the air to snatch it out of my hands.

I think some of it depends on your chickens. I was told they love peanut hearts- I have a bag if anyone wants it:/ They also will eat cracked corn, but it isn't a favorite. They seem to hate flax seed.

Our absolute favorite of all time is spaghetti. Second favorite is yogurt. They also like- to a lesser extent- sunflower seeds and whole crimped oats. We have yet to try melons, but we will once they are in season.

Oh, worms are really up there, too, especially now that they aren't allowed to free range because of the fox. My SO spends an inordinate amount of time digging worms out of our garden for the girls. (depleting my garden in the meantime:( We have to start a worm bin!)

Corn on the cob... you should see them trying to carry those cobs around playing keep-away!

String Cheese - hands down! Even the ducks fight to get some.
Mine are strange - they don't like worms. I dig up nice juicy ones and all of them act like it's a snake or some horrid disgusting thing and let the poor worm just lay there squirming till they escape or dry up. Ducks love them though. hehe
Scrambled eggs, pasta, peas.

Mine don't seem very particular on treats other than they like anything different. Melon insides, watermelon rind, stale crushed tortilla chips and crackers, stale bread, leftover scrambled eggs and spaghetti. They do really like grasshoppers which the younger ones don't seem to know what to do when I show them one but the older ones come running , grab them and run like crazy so no one steals it. I catch grasshoppers with an empty milk jug and then sprinkle them out. If you hold the milk jug above the grasshoppers on a tree trunk or wall a lot of them will jump right in the jug.

that is so funny, mine won't touch a worm either??? Isn't that strange? I thought chickens ate worms??? In the cartoons they did

what grasshoppers? I haven't seen a grasshopper here for two summers

Only insects I see are the lightening bugs who come out after dark.............when the chickens are roosting.
