Very Cute!3 are out, one in ICU with a little more to absorb. The one with the worst membrane stuck on the eye just kicked out. This one kicked out first.

What a good job!I think all 5 are going to be fine. Yeah!!
Being the Hands On thread, I will say with full confidence, these ducklings would never have zipped on their own. Internal pips were not close to the shell, and with such short necks and bills, I can't imagine how they would ever hatched.
The neatest thing with this hatch is I watched the entire "waiting time" while we are normally waiting from pip to zip. Over 24 hours with the shell open, but not yet hatched. They mostly just rested. Random large movements which i assume is when we normally see eggs bobble. It was the most amazing day!

What a good job!
It is tiring to do that much work but look at what you have now!
That is a great idea! Thanks! It's a whole day devoted to it, for sure, but wouldn't trade it for anything. They are so stinkin cute!
I hooked up a little wireless camera last night. Cam on the incubator, receiver hooked the the tv in my bedroom. I'd wake up, look to make sure they were all still breathing. Back to sleep...![]()
Thought you guys might appreciate a 'before and after' picture of one of the last chicks to hatch - the top is from a video taken on Thursday, bottom is this evening!
