Hands on hatching and help

Day 23 of Japanese bantams, I was starting to get concerned about my two little eggs so last night I did a quick candle to see if there was still life in them.....the one that pipped the day before yesterday so the 21 day was chirping but didn't seem or hear anything yesterday or today from it.....annd my second one hadn't piped yet but moving around quite a bit in the egg and looks as if it was trying to break into the air cell.....this is the one that was moving a lot.......this is the one that piped day before yesterday checked it last night this is what it looks like now.

i don't know whats going on and why its taking so long...at least i know one is alive but hasn't pipped yet.... I hope the one in the second one didn't die can anyone tell?

I had one of my duckling eggs that pipped and the next day the outside of the shell had turned pink along where the air sac is. Mine looked similar to this but not quite as much blood when I candled. Amy said it must have ruptured it's vein when it was trying to get out so maybe that's what happened here. That lil duck is doing just fine at 8 days old!

That's what it looks like to me- it nicked a vein and bled inside. But it still looks like the veins are strong doesn't it?

Is it peeping? If it's been way over 24 hours and no peeping I would make a little hole to see what's going on. Make sure it didn't drown on the blood.

Well, the little SWH that was late hatching died. Poor thing, only 3 days. Started with raspy breathing last night. This morning nor moving around much, sleeping a lot. Just went to check and was laying on back with whitish liquid coming from mouth. There are times you wish Mother Nature didn't know better.

Is it peeping? If it's been way over 24 hours and no peeping I would make a little hole to see what's going on. Make sure it didn't drown on the blood.

I have realized that I need to keep up with the member interviews more on here. I was just reading some of them over and realized that for a year and a half one of the old timer members that I had thought was a guy all along is a lady...Oooops. I'm just going to consider everyone female if they have a gender neutral screen name...lol Everytime I think someone is a guy it turns out being a gal.
