Hands on hatching and help

I just received Katiebug's Silky eggs from @RubyNala97
All I can say is if I ever have to mail a small child anywhere, I know who I'm calling on to package him or her!  Great job on the packaging!  And thanks for the eggs and the extras!

Thank you. That is such great news that they arrived!! I hope Katie is excited! Let us know how the air cells look. :fl

Ok, so I set a dozen of my green eggs to hatch out for my sister. I have one of my green egg layers that didn't give me an egg yet today so if she does I will stick that in there too...lol So it all begins again.
I really need a chicken farm with multiple coops so I can keep a nn roo too and section them off from the rest....lol Then I'd have my Spitz, my silkies, my nns and my mixes....all penned out.

Yay!! I'm almost on day 7 with the silkies and day 14 with the calls. I'm happy you're hatching again. How are the chicks? Any new pics?

Alright....so far we are up to 3 paints, 1 black and 2 blue/gray?? And I still have 4 more pips and one not doing anything yet. I also am waiting on my 2 SLPs to do something. :fl the last 5 silkies hatch!!! This has to be the best hatch rate I have had in a long time!!!

They are great. I haven't gotten any good pics in the last couple days. They are feathering out too fast, but I still can't tell what color the blacks are going...I think I see brown, so I am thinking they might both be partridge and the grays are definitely not turning white...lol I'll try to get some pics so you can see how they are feathering, but other than the whites and paints, it's hard to tell.

We candled the eggs tonight. Only saw 5 with any air cells at all, and those are small and rock solid. I could doggone near put them in the incubator now, but I'm waiting until tomorrow anyway. Not taking any chances with these! Not that I took chances with the others, but these are Katie's, and she has big blue eyes. <sigh>
