Hands on hatching and help

Trying to help a duckling that pipped externally yesterday, which was day 24. Today it started zipping, but stalled out, so I peeled away some shell and it's full of sticky fluid! Still has lots of veins, so tring to go slow.

Thanks, but I'm not hopeful... I think it's the only one out of 48 that the Janoel didn't kill. Seems like it had a massive temp spike that went unnoticed for a few days.

Well, I have 3 in the brooder, one almost completely unzipped and one more pipped. I found one DIS this morning; it had pipped on the underside, made quite a sizable hole, but seems like maybe it broke through the inner membrane too soon? I am seeing veins and blood. I took it out and talked to it, no signs of life. The tip of the beak is protruding but no signs of life.
I may try candling the non starters. Thanks!

Well, I candled the non starters. Two I would say are dead with no internal pip. I left them in in case I'm wrong. The one that has a very small pip is moving lots, and 2 are maybe not pipped internally yet? Trying to stay out of the bator for a while. I got rid of the DIS egg.
While I would have liked for every single egg to have hatched, the ones that have so far seem very strong and healthy. So, success.

Well, that just sucks!

Well, I candled the non starters. Two I would say are dead with no internal pip. I left them in in case I'm wrong. The one that has a very small pip is moving lots, and 2 are maybe not pipped internally yet? Trying to stay out of the bator for a while. I got rid of the DIS egg.
While I would have liked for every single egg to have hatched, the ones that have so far seem very strong and healthy. So, success.

That's good. Nothing like a strong healthy chick!

It's out of the shell. Yolk 100% absorbed and no bleeding, but it was so sticky that I guess it inhaled some of that goo and now it has goo coming out of it's nares. Prognosis is poor, but I'll try my best.

Let me start with, I love my husband. And, I love that he's a truck driver and is gone for months at a time. He was home this weekend...... My loving man noticed the temp gauge on the bator was reading a bit low and turned it up before bed. I woke up th the eggs at 104°.....ahhhhhhhhh!! We had a nice long talk about bator gauges and my thermometers and how he's NEVER ALLOWED TO TOUCH THE INCUBATOR EVER AGAIN.
So, I'll give the eggs a week and see if any will develop.
