Hands on hatching and help

LOL This is one reason I don't do ducks. Takes longer incubation and then can take double as long to go from internal to external and external to zip. I'd be a nervous wreck.
bad enough with the chickens, trying to decide if I should go get a bottel or some superglue here, trying to keep occupied

I have to post something here JUST so next year when I think I am going to decide to hatch eggs...I can find this thread.....To remind me how stressful and crazy nuts it will make me.

Thanks.

I wish you the best of luck!
it does get better, but addicting lol, 4th attempt for me since last fall and this is first time I slept during lock down

So I dropped this egg during early incubation, maybe on Day 3 or so:

700

Patched it with tape, as you can see, and:

700

must be making progress now instead of wanting to check on progress want to go to bed and get some sleep lol.is humidity spiked to 75-80% without adding any so should be good there

Whoever is hatching ducks -- mallard derived ducks take longer to zip from external pip than chickens do. 40+ hours is not uncommon! You can be waiting 2 full days on them. Patience is much more difficult, but necessary! Please don't rush them.
