Hands on hatching and help

So I've been raising a single chick in the house. It was disregarded by broody hens. It's about 4 weeks old now and I decided to put the newly hatched chicks in with it. I watched carefully to see if it would bully or peck at the little babies. It was the other way around! The older chick was scared to death of the newborns and would flip out if I wasn't sitting right there talking to it. The chicks really liked the older one right away. It was pretty comical to watch. I guess that single chick did imprint on me quite a bit. But tonight everyone is doing good. Some of these chicks are literally hours old and everyone is running around, drinking and totally pigging out!! They do whatever the older one does. They are all asleep now. The older one is alone in the corner and about 2 inches away is a pile of 10 sleeping newborns.

I had a little older chick who I couldn't put in with anyone else as she always got picked on. She followed me around the yard for a good long time until I brought home a special needs chick who needed a buddy. I figured if Lovey was so gentle and submissive that everyone picked on her she was a good candidate. They are fast friends now. The little one follows her around while I sing the theme song from that kid's show "My friend, my big big friend..."
I am considering taking the two of them camping with me and my daughter next week as I just know my husband won't deal with specialty feedings every two hours for Moon (she has epic cross beak). I think I can fit the brooder box in the camper....

That is 2 cute. Congrats on the new chicks. :)

So green goo egg had fluid in the air cell, opened it and checked... Well formed baby at correct stage. Egg was filled with yolk and fluid. Already lost the two that tried to hatch early and now the 7 left are dipping with lots of movement at the bottom of the air cell. Like they're trying to start an internal pip. Problem, they're not due until March 20.
Now what. Drop temp ( had to have been spiking) , raise humidity, what? Do I attempt a lockdown? Can I stop turning this early?

I've put eggs in at 30deg and just left them will they hatch ok please help
Thank you

Love stories like that.

Sorry it's actually 38deg Celsius
Thanks
38C is fine if you have a forced air incubator. (Still air should be 38.3-38.9) But like WV said, there's more than just temps to get a successful hatch. Humidity is the second biggest factor and turning is right behind that.
